5 things for the weekend 22.25
slowing down, best books of 2022, free knitting patterns, notebook for Wordle players
June was an intense, but fulfilling month! I poured my all into community challenges on Instagram: Yarn Love, Craftnerdiness, and Read Caribbean, and it was a great connective experience sharing my passions with other creatives and bookish people. With just one month left before our family Holiday, in July I am slowing down the pace, and turning a bit inward; focusing on the household, and my business. I’ll still be sharing online, just a bit less, so keep an eye on my Instagram accounts.
How is your July shaping up?
5 Things
1. We’re still eating our way through all the salads over here. This week I think I will mix it up with some quinoa versions like this crisp and refreshing one.
2. NPR has released their list of favourite 2022 books so far. You can use their interactive page to see books in your favourite genres.
3. We still need socks to wear with our sneakers right? Make some knitted sneaker socks with this free pattern.
4. Need some creative clarity? Join the studio clear out challenge from July 11th to 15th.
5. It’s Farmer Market season! bring home your goodies in style in a knitted market tote with one of these free patterns.

In July the book club is reading Normal People by Sally Rooney. And mark your calendars for our meeting on July 10th to discuss The Good Son.
Are you a Wordler? Playing the game is my daily brain break. And because I’m a nerd I needed a notebook to keep track of my plays and the solutions. I thought you might like one too.
Know a single guy who wants to plan his weekly menus? I got you covered with this meal planner.
“She said that you had to love the sea more than you feared it. You had to love the swimming so much that you would do anything to keep on going.” His mother looked out the car window. “Just like life, you know?” - Charmain Wilkerson; Black Cake
